Welcome to the Information, Communication & Technology Network
Document ActionsOverview of the ICT Network

By bringing together the information and communication technology (ICT) leadership of organizations of the UN System, the ICT Network works towards a system-wide approach to leveraging advanced technology to support the goals of the UN.

An inter-agency body since 1993, first as the Advisory Committee for the Coordination of Information Systems (ACCIS) and then as the Information Systems Coordination Committee (ISCC), the ICT Network assumed its current role after the reorganization of the Chief Executives Board for Coordination in 2002.

In addition to its primary mission of an advisory body to the High Level Committee on Management (HLCM) on matters of information technology services, the Network functions as a forum to coordinate system-wide ICT policy and practices. Its recent activities include support to the HLCM business practices initiatives including development of common ICT standards, a common directory for the UN system and the harmonization of ERP operating and management practices.

Currently, more than 35 UN and related organizations participate in the ICT Network.
